French black metal band HAEMOTH has signed a record deal with Agonia Records and will enter the studio to record a new album.
HAEMOTH's founder - who goes by the same name - has launched the band in 1999 as a solo project, taking on guitar, vocal and bass duties. He was later joined by drummer Syht and the line-up has remained unchanged ever since, putting out three studio albums and a steady stream of smaller releases. While Haemoth's musicianship is best known thanks to his other band, Spektr, his solo project is devoid of the industrial, ambient and experimental touch Spektr possesses, making more traditional black metal infused with vocals its main point of interest. What remains characteristic however, is the down-tuned, disharmonic and strongly distorted riffing Haemoth is know for, surrounded by an uneasy, negative aura.
The band commented: "At last, time has come. An agonious pact has been signed. HAEMOTH entering in Antechamber to record a fifth spit of hateful reality, a persistent reek of sulphure. No need of prophecies, all shall burn until nothing remains, but Black Dust...".
More news will follow soon.
